The Charter for the Club Racing Special Interest Group (CR SIG) provides
the guidelines for members, regarding the purpose of the CR SIG and the interaction on the List. The
purpose of the CR SIG is to help BMW road racers meet and communicate. The CR SIG is also recognized
by The BMW CCA Club Racing Program as its National Online
Discussion Forum. If you wish to meet the racers and officials of this Program and keep up on the latest
dialogs, the CR SIG is the place to do it.
Please also note our Commercial Posting Policy.
Who may join?
- Any individual racing a BMW with a current drivers license from a road racing sanctioning body (i.e.
BMW CCA CR, SCCA, EMRA, PBOC, NASA, et cetera)
- Current racing series officials working for a BMW focused road racing series. Officials may join
Read Only to keep abreast of racer dialog. If a specific question arises that involves the official
in their capacity, they are welcome to respond. Read Only membership is performed on the honor system.
- Racers in the process of acquiring a road racing drivers license from a road racing sanctioning body may
join Read Only. When joining up, please provide Filippo Morelli
with the license being pursued, expected date to acquire and registrar point of contact for that series.
The CR SIG is configured this way to keep the dialog on the List
extremely focused on licensed racers. At the same time, we wish to help those that are working toward building BMW
race cars and becoming licensed. To that end, we have created an CR Advisory Board. If you are a
non-licensed member and would like to ask questions on car preparations, sanctioning bodies,
rules or other racing topics, please visit the members page and contact
on of the Listed CR Advisors.

Posting guidelines for the List:
- Content of e-mails must specifically pertain to road racing BMW's. This may include
car preparation, racing event topics, rules and organizations. Conversely, for example,
a post to sell a 528i has nothing to do with Club Racing and should not be posted to the List.
- e-mails which contain personal attacks are strictly prohibited.
- e-mails which contain private dialog may not be posted in public without the consent of the
original author of the private dialog. This is standard Internet etiquette.
- Private sales of race cars, tow vehicles, race parts and accessories is allowed.
- One-liners with no substantial content should be sent to individuals and not posted to the List.
- Commercial postings are strictly forbidden. This includes posting URLs of commercial businesses
or individuals acting as businesses. For more details, please
click here. If your business is interested in commercial
exposure, please contact bimmers.com.
We ardently protect our Sponsor's visibility to the membership in return for their support.
Should a member disregard the Charter guidelines, they will be initially placed in read only
mode for 2 weeks and not be allowed to post. If a member continues to disregard the Charter guidelines, they
may loose their membership to the CR SIG. While the last thing we wish to have are problems with
our members, the focus of this Charter is to maintain a high quality, amicable and communicative environment.
Actions to the contrary are typically not well received either by the membership or by the Administrator of the CR SIG.

Members are asked to read this Charter and behave on the Mailing List in accordance to this Charter.
Keep in mind that the membership of the CR SIG tallies several hundred people -- most BMW CCA CR
licensed racers, SCCA racers, officials for the BMW CCA CR and driver school BMW CCA members working on
becoming BMW CCA club racers. When you post, make sure your message is
something you wish to convey to the members. Private responses, quips, et cetera should be sent
to individual members rather than to the complete membership.
