| This vehicle is an early production example of a US-spec M3, manufactured in May of 1987. This color is referred to by BMW as Hennarot (German for Henna Red), which was available on the US M3 only for the first half of the 1988 model year. The color was replaced by Zinnoberrot (German for Cinnabar Red), a more traditional red. The orange hue of Hennarot was rumored to be not very |

This M3 is a near-stock example, two owners, with all of the original records down to the window sticker. The original owner reports that this M3 was one of three cars BMW displayed at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix in 1988 when BMW was the featured marque (BMW is | |

again the featured marque in 1998).
The other two display cars were run on the track so the owner
purchased the remaining virgin example. This car sports several minor
modifications and is in the process of receiving several upgrades,
particularly as the original parts begin to wear out.
This car is owned by Filippo Morelli and can always be found at BMW CCA Oktoberfests (the annual national convention of the BMW Car Club of America) and DC Area ///M Gatherings. Browse the following pages for more views of this M3. |
